The GWO Working at Height Refresher (WAHR) programme at OEG Training provides learners with the updated knowledge and refreshed practical capability to continue working safely at height in wind‑turbine environments. This training covers fall‑prevention systems, climbing techniques, rescue procedures, equipment inspection, anchor‑point selection, and safe‑system‑of‑work principles, all aligned with current GWO requirements.

You will refresh your ability to climb safely using fixed‑ladder systems, use fall‑arrest and work‑positioning equipment, manage energy‑absorbing lanyards, and perform rescues using certified rescue devices. Practical elements include ladder ascent/descent, platform transfers, evacuation techniques, casualty‑lowering systems, and updated PPE and rescue‑equipment use.

The course is designed to maintain turbine‑access safety, reduce fall‑related risks, and ensure ongoing compliance with the latest GWO Working at Height requirements recognised across the global wind‑energy sector.

At the end of the full GWO Working at Height Refresher (WAHR) programme, you will be able to confidently maintain safe working‑at‑height practices, use fall‑protection systems correctly, and perform rescues in wind‑turbine environments. You will be able to identify hazards, select appropriate equipment, follow safe‑system‑of‑work procedures, and manage emergency situations effectively.

You will demonstrate refreshed competence in climbing systems, fall‑arrest equipment, rescue techniques, anchor‑point selection, equipment inspection, and safe‑work communication, meeting the latest GWO global safety standards required across the wind‑energy industry.
