The GWO Working at Height & Manual Handling Refresher programme at OEG Training provides learners with the updated knowledge and practical capability to work safely at height and perform manual handling tasks in wind turbine environments. This training revisits and reinforces fall prevention, fall arrest systems, safe climbing techniques, rescue devices, ergonomic lifting methods, and safe handling of tools and components.

You will refresh your ability to inspect and use personal protective equipment (PPE), apply safe climbing and evacuation techniques, identify manual handling hazards, and use industry‑approved lifting and movement strategies. Through realistic, scenario‑based exercises, learners strengthen their confidence and competence to work safely at height and manage loads effectively in restricted turbine spaces.

The course is designed to maintain operational safety, reinforce fall‑prevention and ergonomic best practice, and meet the latest Global Wind Organisation (GWO) standards required by employers across the global wind sector.

At the end of the GWO Working at Height & Manual Handling Refresher programme, you will be able to confidently work safely at height, use fall protection systems correctly, and apply safe climbing and evacuation techniques in turbine environments. You will be able to identify manual handling hazards, use correct lifting methods, and reduce ergonomic risks during turbine operations. 

You will demonstrate refreshed competence in PPE inspection, fall arrest equipment use, safe ladder and platform work, and safe movement or handling of loads. You will also be able to communicate clearly during height‑related and manual handling tasks and contribute to a safe working environment, meeting the latest GWO global safety standards required by the wind industry.
