The GWO Working at Height & Manual Handling programme at OEG Training provides learners with the knowledge and practical capability to work safely at height and perform manual handling tasks in wind turbine environments. This training covers fall prevention, fall arrest systems, safe climbing techniques, rescue devices, correct lifting methods, ergonomic risk reduction, and safe handling of tools and components. 

You will learn how to inspect and use personal protective equipment (PPE), apply safe climbing and evacuation techniques, identify manual handling hazards, and use industry‑approved lifting and movement strategies. Through realistic, scenario‑based exercises, learners develop the confidence and competence to work safely at height and manage loads effectively in restricted turbine spaces. 

The course is designed to enhance operational safety, reduce fall‑related and musculoskeletal injuries, and meet the latest Global Wind Organisation (GWO) standards required by employers across the global wind sector.

At the end of the GWO Working at Height & Manual Handling programme, you will be able to confidently work safely at height, use fall protection systems correctly, and apply safe climbing and evacuation techniques in turbine environments. You will be able to identify manual handling hazards, use correct lifting methods, and reduce ergonomic risks during turbine operations.

You will demonstrate the ability to inspect PPE, manage fall arrest equipment, perform safe ladder and platform work, and move or handle loads using approved techniques. You will also be able to communicate clearly during height‑related tasks and contribute to a safe working environment, meeting the latest GWO global safety standards required by the wind industry.
