The GWO Manual Handling Refresher programme at OEG Training provides learners with the updated knowledge and practical capability to identify manual handling hazards and apply safe, ergonomic lifting and movement techniques in wind turbine environments. This training revisits and reinforces risk assessment, body mechanics, load‑handling strategies, injury prevention, and safe movement of tools and components in restricted turbine spaces. 

 You will refresh your ability to assess loads, plan manual handling tasks, use correct lifting techniques, and reduce strain on the body during turbine operations. Through realistic, scenario‑based exercises, technicians strengthen their confidence and competence to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently in both onshore and offshore wind settings. 

The course is designed to maintain operational safety, reinforce ergonomic best practice, and meet the latest Global Wind Organisation (GWO) standards required by employers across the global wind sector.

At the end of the full GWO Manual Handling Refresher programme, you will be able to confidently identify manual handling risks, apply safe lifting and movement techniques, and reduce ergonomic strain during turbine operations. You will be able to plan manual handling tasks, assess loads, and use industry‑approved methods to prevent musculoskeletal injuries. 

You will demonstrate refreshed competence in safe equipment movement, correct body posture, and ergonomic risk reduction. You will also be able to communicate clearly during manual handling tasks and contribute to a safe and compliant working environment, meeting the latest GWO global safety standards required by the wind industry.
