The GWO Enhanced First Aid Refresher programme at OEG Training provides learners with the updated knowledge and practical capability to assess, treat, and manage casualties in remote wind turbine environments. This training revisits and reinforces advanced patient assessment, prolonged care, trauma management, airway and breathing support, circulatory emergencies, environmental injuries, and structured emergency communication. 

You will refresh your ability to conduct detailed casualty assessments, stabilise life‑threatening conditions, manage extended care scenarios, and apply advanced first aid techniques using industry‑standard equipment. Through realistic, scenario‑based exercises, technicians strengthen their confidence and competence to respond effectively to complex medical emergencies in challenging turbine locations.

The course is designed to maintain operational safety, reinforce advanced casualty‑care capability, and meet the latest Global Wind Organisation (GWO) standards required by employers across the global wind sector.

At the end of the full GWO Enhanced First Aid Refresher programme, you will be able to confidently assess, treat, and manage complex injuries in remote turbine environments. You will be able to perform advanced patient assessments, manage trauma, support airway and breathing, stabilise circulatory emergencies, and provide extended care until professional help arrives. 

You will demonstrate refreshed competence in prolonged casualty care, advanced first aid decision‑making, and structured emergency communication. You will also be able to support coordinated emergency response activities, meeting the latest GWO global safety standards required by the wind industry.
