The GWO BTT – Bolt Tightening Module at OEG Training provides learners with the knowledge and practical capability to perform bolt‑tightening tasks safely and accurately in wind‑turbine environments. This training covers bolt‑tightening principles, torque and tensioning methods, tool selection, equipment inspection, manufacturer specifications, and safe‑system‑of‑work procedures, all aligned with current GWO requirements.

You will learn how to use mechanical torque tools, hydraulic torque wrenches, and tensioning equipment, interpret bolt‑tightening documentation, follow torque sequences, and verify correct bolt loading. Practical elements include tool setup, calibration awareness, controlled tightening, tensioning operations, and safe handling of high‑pressure hydraulic systems.

At the end of the full GWO BTT – Bolt Tightening  programme, you will be able to confidently perform bolt‑tightening tasks using torque and tensioning tools in accordance with manufacturer specifications and GWO standards. You will be able to identify bolt‑tightening requirements, select appropriate tools, follow torque sequences, and verify correct bolt loading.

You will demonstrate competence in mechanical torqueing, hydraulic tensioning, equipment inspection, documentation interpretation, and safe‑system‑of‑work compliance, meeting the latest GWO global technical‑training standards required across the wind‑energy industry.
