The GWO Basic Technical Training (BTT) programme at OEG Training provides learners with the knowledge and practical capability to perform basic technical tasks safely within wind turbine environments. This training covers the four core GWO technical modules: Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, and Bolt Tightening. 

You will learn how to identify turbine components, understand system functions, follow safe working procedures, and apply correct tools and techniques for basic maintenance tasks. The course includes mechanical component handling, electrical safety and measurement, hydraulic system operation, and industry‑approved bolt‑tightening methods, all aligned with GWO’s technical training requirements. 

Through realistic, scenario‑based exercises, learners develop the confidence and competence to support turbine operations safely and effectively under supervision. 

The course is designed to build foundational technical skills, reduce operational risks, and meet the latest Global Wind Organisation (GWO) standards required by employers across the global wind sector.

At the end of the GWO Basic Technical Training (BTT) programme, you will be able to confidently perform basic mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and bolt‑tightening tasks in wind turbine environments. You will be able to identify system components, follow safe working procedures, use tools correctly, and support turbine maintenance activities under supervision. 

You will demonstrate competence in mechanical assembly, electrical measurement, hydraulic system operation, and safe bolt‑tightening techniques. You will also be able to communicate clearly during technical tasks and contribute to a safe working environment, meeting the latest GWO global technical training standards required by the wind industry.
