The GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) – Onshore Initial programme at OEG Training provides learners with the knowledge and practical capability to work safely in onshore wind turbine environments. This training covers the four core GWO modules: Working at Height, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, and First Aid. 

 You will learn how to climb and work safely at height, apply safe lifting and movement techniques, prevent and respond to fire hazards, and deliver effective first aid during onshore operations. Through realistic, scenario‑based exercises, participants develop the confidence and competence to operate safely and efficiently in onshore wind settings. 

The course is designed to build foundational safety skills, reduce operational risks, and meet the latest GWO global safety standards required by employers across the onshore wind sector.

At the end of the GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) – Onshore Initial programme, you will be able to confidently work safely at height, apply correct manual handling techniques, identify and respond to fire hazards, and deliver effective first aid in onshore turbine environments. 

You will demonstrate competence in fall‑prevention systems, ergonomic lifting, fire‑response actions, and casualty assessment. You will also be able to communicate clearly during emergency and operational tasks and contribute to a safe working environment, meeting the latest GWO global safety standards required by the wind industry.
