The GWO BST Offshore Refresher programme at OEG Training provides learners with the updated knowledge and practical capability to work safely in offshore wind turbine environments. This training revisits and reinforces the five core GWO modules: Working at Height, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, First Aid, and Sea Survival.

You will refresh your ability to climb and work safely at height, apply safe lifting and movement techniques, prevent and respond to fire hazards, deliver effective first aid, and perform safe transfers and survival techniques in offshore conditions. Through realistic, scenario‑based exercises, technicians strengthen their confidence and competence to operate safely and efficiently in demanding offshore settings.

The course is designed to maintain foundational safety skills, reinforce offshore emergency‑response capability, and meet the latest Global Wind Organisation (GWO) standards required by employers across the global wind sector.

At the end of the GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) – Offshore Refresher programme, you will be able to confidently work safely at height, apply correct manual handling techniques, identify and respond to fire hazards, deliver effective first aid, and perform safe transfers and survival techniques in offshore environments. 

You will demonstrate refreshed competence in fall‑prevention systems, ergonomic lifting, fire‑response actions, casualty assessment, vessel transfers, and open‑water survival. You will also be able to communicate clearly during emergency and operational tasks and contribute to a safe working environment, meeting the latest GWO global safety standards required by the wind industry.
