The GWO Advanced Rescue Training (ART) Refresher programme at OEG Training provides learners with the updated knowledge and practical capability to perform advanced rescue operations in wind turbine environments. This training revisits and reinforces rescue planning, casualty handling, anchor point selection, rescue device operation, team‑based and single‑rescuer techniques, and safe evacuation from all turbine areas. 

You will refresh your ability to assess rescue scenarios, manage certified rescue equipment, coordinate rescue teams, and perform controlled lowering and lifting of casualties. Through realistic, scenario‑based exercises, technicians strengthen their confidence and competence to carry out advanced rescues safely and efficiently in both onshore and offshore wind settings. 

The course is designed to maintain operational safety, reinforce advanced rescue capability, and meet the latest Global Wind Organisation (GWO) standards required by employers across the global wind sector.

At the end of the GWO Advanced Rescue Training (ART) Refresher programme, you will be able to confidently perform advanced rescue operations in all turbine areas, using approved rescue devices and techniques. You will be able to assess rescue scenarios, select safe anchor points, manage rescue equipment, and carry out controlled lowering or lifting of casualties. 

You will demonstrate refreshed competence in team‑based and single‑rescuer operations, casualty care during rescue, and safe evacuation procedures. You will also be able to communicate clearly during rescue operations and contribute to a coordinated emergency response, meeting the latest GWO global safety standards required by the wind industry.
