The City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Working in High-Risk Confined Spaces programme at OEG Training provides learners with the knowledge and practical capability to work safely in high‑risk confined spaces. This training covers hazard identification, risk assessment, atmospheric monitoring, full breathing apparatus use, safe entry and exit, communication systems, rescue‑ready procedures, and emergency arrangements. 

You will learn how to prepare for high‑risk entry, test and monitor atmospheres, use full working breathing apparatus, follow complex safe systems of work, and maintain safe access and egress in hazardous confined environments. Practical elements include vertical and horizontal entry, BA control boards, rescue considerations, communication protocols, and managing high‑risk scenarios. 

The course is designed to enhance operational safety, reduce high‑risk confined‑space hazards, and meet the latest City & Guilds 6160‑03 qualification requirements recognised across utilities, construction, engineering, emergency services, and industrial sectors.

At the end of the City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Working in High-Risk Confined Spaces programme, you will be able to confidently enter, work, and exit high‑risk confined spaces safely, following complex procedures and robust safe systems of work. You will be able to conduct atmospheric testing, use full breathing apparatus, identify significant hazards, and respond effectively to emergencies. 

You will demonstrate competence in risk assessment, BA operation, communication procedures, atmospheric monitoring, rescue‑ready practices, and emergency‑response actions, meeting the latest City & Guilds confined‑space safety standards required across multiple industries.
