The ALLMI Lorry Loader Operator programme at OEG Training provides learners with the knowledge and practical capability to operate lorry‑loader cranes safely and in compliance with ALLMI standards. This training covers pre‑use checks, crane setup, lifting accessories, signalling, load control, stability, hazard awareness, and safe‑system‑of‑work procedures. 

You will learn how to position and stabilise the vehicle, select and attach lifting accessories, operate the crane using remote or manual controls, manage loads safely, and communicate effectively during lifting operations. Practical elements include lifting‑plan interpretation, slinging and signalling, load‑path control, emergency procedures, and safe use of crane safety systems. 

The course is designed to enhance lifting‑operation competence, reduce workplace hazards, and meet the latest ALLMI operator‑training standards recognised across the UK transport and construction sectors. 

At the end of the full ALLMI Lorry Loader Operator programme, you will be able to confidently operate lorry‑loader cranes, carry out pre‑use checks, select lifting accessories, manage loads safely, and follow ALLMI‑approved lifting procedures. You will be able to communicate effectively with slingers and signallers, maintain stability, and ensure safe lifting operations across a range of environments. 

You will demonstrate competence in crane setup, load handling, signalling, lifting‑accessory selection, hazard identification, and safe‑system‑of‑work compliance, meeting the latest ALLMI industry standards required across transport, construction, utilities, and industrial sectors.
