WHO IS THE COURSE SUITABLE FOR?
Anyone looking to begin or continue working in the offshore renewable energy industry. Everyone is expected to hold a valid, in date GWO fire awareness certificate which must be refreshed every 2 years by sitting the GWO Fire awareness refresher course.

COURSE OVERVIEW
This course will give basic knowledge and skills to prevent fires and conduct initial and appropriate judgement when evaluating a fire

AT THE END OF THIS COURSE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO
• Demonstrate knowledge of the development and spread of fire
• Demonstrate knowledge of the development and spread of fire
• Identify any sign of a fire in a wind turbine environment
• Demonstrate knowledge of the contingency plans in a wind turbine environment including smoke detection and emergency escape procedures.
• Demonstrate correct actions on discovering a fire including correct operation and fire extinguishing by means of the firefighting equipment in a WTG.

CERTIFICATION

On successful completion of the GWO Fire Awareness Training, you will receive a certificate valid for 2 years, this is uploaded onto your WINDA Account within 10 days of course completion. A pdf version of your WINDA GWO Certificate will also be emailed out to you.
